this comment at the top of the page seems very out of place – “Not really iconic, and some of them don’t make sense, but they are truly funny, and make clever use of photography.” is it perhaps on the wrong group of photos?
The handwritten note ‘Thanks to press freedom you know better’ comment should be much more prominent in each image. Otherwise, there will be people who don’t see that note, but do see the ‘newspaper’ headline and believe it to be the truth.
Hi there, I am writting a dissitation entitled “The Varacity of the photographic image within photojournalism” and I will be including a chapter which explores the media and how they can change the context of an image to suit their own needs to conform to their own ideologies. I would love to use these images as I believe they show exactly the point that I am trying to make, that fault is not always is the photographer. Please could I have permission to use these photographs and who would I give the photo credits too?

I agree, they all make sense if you know the truth behind the photos. clever use of captioning, not photography.

I thought the same thing. The author is just letting his ignorance show.
